I love kitchens, kitchen gadgets and cooking good food. I enjoy Indian food as long as I can tone down the spices and make it a bit more Americanized for me... to much spice just ruins food for me.. but I saw that this book had a nice assortment of flat bread recipes and I could eat good flat bread every day and never tire of it.I bought the book electronically and had it sent to my Ipod .. I am sorry to say I can't give a lot of details on the number of pages and such as battery in the ipod died just as I finished the first dish. I love chickpeas/ garbanzo beans.. so the first recipe from the book was this salad type of dish. The recipes are very simple and easy to follow, lots of photos showing how to make the food..and a website to back up the book where you can go to see more recipes. All in all.. for the price of this book, you get a lot of bang for your buck. I will try to post a couple more photos when I make the flat bread.. but this is the first dish I made... now grant you.. I did not follow the recipe completely when it came to the spices..and left out a couple and added a couple of my own... but its a good dish and I am looking forward to those flat bread recipes.The one really positive about electronic books is.. that you get them instantly..... seconds after purchase I was looking thru the book...

Love how she integrated her beautifully photographed dishes into her very clear and easy to follow recipies. I have never ever had an indian dish but have for the last few years been curious about indian food. I pass by the indian food section at the grocers but never dive in and take a risk because I have no clue what to start with. This book will help me sample some of the dishes and not have to get too elaborate with details and massive amounts of ingredients. Flat breads are popular and I'm thinking would go very well with meat and it would make the meal filling. I am excited to get started with my new journey in indian flavor.If you are new to indian dishes or have only eaten at an indian restaurant and want to experience the same wonderful flavors at home, this is a great book for pennies that will enhance your culinary experiences.
