Review "A very unique approach to a book -  Bravo!" A reviewer on Amazon.com

From the Author The challenge was given to authors: "Can you write an entire story in 26 sentences? The catch - every sentence had to begin with a sequential letter of the alphabet - from A to Z. Lenience was given with the letter "X", permitting authors to start with a word beginning in "ex". Over forty authors took the challenge and out of it was born "A Quick Read."

From the Back Cover EXCERPTS FROM STORIES - "We want at least ten more like you," they commanded. "Exceptional specimens. You bring them, or else," they pointed bony blue fingers at him. From "The Ship" - page 145"No one leaves," Victor screamed as he punched her pretty face raw. "MY girls will never leave me," he smirked wryly, "after all, we are family - right, my pretty?" Like family, she bristled...From "Inside Ballerina" - page 63Sam was gone and Kevin was missing. The Labrador's sudden death opened a vacuum that sucked his eight year old best friend into inconsolable grief. From "Lost and Found" - page 75Killing her had been so easy for him. Loving him-- that had been hard. Merely six months ago they had wed. Newlyweds still. From "Retribution" - page 98After a sleepless night I stumbled to the kitchen for a cup of coffee. Bouts of sleeplessness were the least of my concerns this morning, however. Could she really just walk out the door and change our lives forever? From "She's Leaving Me" - page 106Xysters will not be working on my bones this night! Yet I was still filled with apprehension; alone at the side of the road...    From "A Walk in the Wild" - page 14 Xeno-meat isn't the best meal... - still, our many hungry mouths found joy in every crispy, greasy morsel, even the parts where the smell of their singed alien hair still lingered.  From "Xeno Hunt" - page 163

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Great, unique premise! By Allison Brooks Hey there, C.A. Simonson -- I liked this premise so much that I bought the book, even though the Look Inside portion, sadly, cuts off below the extensive front matter and doesn't let a new reader taste these great stories. Maybe you could consider moving a story up higher into the preview? But now I have tasted (smile), and these are wonderful. Again, this is a very unique approach to a book, and I really enjoyed these. This must have been a tremendous amount of work to lovingly compile all of these. Bravo!
