Wonderful collection By Keith Though I'm not a fan of short stories, I really enjoyed 'The Locket' by Laurie W.J.N. because all the tales are connected. The author presents a wonderful collection of short stories that follow five generations of women in the same family. This novella is for anyone who wants that feeling you can only get from connecting with fundamental human emotions and becoming involved with people you never met. It reminds you that the word "connect" mean's a lot more than just a term for computer users.

Perfect Afternoon Read By DS McKnight, author Of Dreams and Shadow: Forget Me Not At only 31 pages, The Locket is definitely a short read but don't let that fool you. This novelette incorporates five vignettes, focusing of five generations of women in the same family. With each episode, Laurie introduces a woman and plunges the reader into that woman's life. Each scene evokes strong impressions of the women's misfortunes as well as their successes.I enjoy the author's writing style.Perfect for a quick afternoon read.

By Reginald Titus Jr. This novel instantly draws you in the midst of an unthinkable ordeal that many of the generation today has not experienced and quite possibly never will. And, it makes you wince because of what the family endured. To be targeted and singled out because of your religion. Laurie is an awesome author that knows how to tell a good story. This is a great story about strength and love. You will enjoy it hands down. Cheers!
