1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Absolutely stunning! By Kindle Customer If you love mountains, mountain climbing, landscape photography, Japanese geography, or photography in general, you will definitely enjoy this book. The author/photographers begin their series by describing their undertaking, to climb Japan's famous mountains, and then begin with Mt. Daisetsu. The scenery is almost too astonishing to be believed and is both thoroughly and beautifully photographed. The text is relatively brief, mostly describing the context for the pictures. It does not cover climbing techniques or any technical issues, beyond a few comments about the difficulty or ease of various parts of the climb. There are a few tiny grammar errors but small enough that they'd probably only catch the eye of copy editors or English professors, certainly not enough to interfere with anybody's understanding or enjoyment.Overall, beautifully done.
