Each one either leaves you wondering what will happen next, or gives you a hint of what actually happened without going into details.'Taken' introduces us to the author's style and gives us a good idea of what to expect next. If you liked the first story, you should probably like the others too. They were all original, but I'd have to say that among them all, 'Full Moon' was my favorite. I'll never look at the moon the same way ever again. That's for sure.Now, if you're looking for a masterpiece, you might be disappointed. While entertaining, this book isn't perfect, but it delivers; each story opens up a new world of possibilities.

Some dark, some interesting starts By David S Reynolds It could be the order of the stories but I felt in the beginning that this was a collection of stories written on how advanced aliens can torture backwards humans. A bit further on the stories started to feel better developed however a few felt more like a first chapter than a short story. This is particularly true for Into The Unknown, Time to Go, and The Ultimatum. These three shorts set the stage for some interesting adventures.My favorite of the bunch is Elite Member, a story that looks into the darkness of boredom and ultimate power.This collection starts a bit slowly but finishes well and has some interesting ideas.

My favorite was the Secret Chamber, since I love anything about Egypt. My only hang up was that most of the stories paint a decidedly evil portrait of potential alien encounters, and depressing ones too. Also, don't expect any closure. Each story ends unresolved. I liked it because it leaves the reader to draw their own conclusions, but readers who want a satisfying end may be disappointed. I was thoroughly engrossed in this collection.
