No need to buy separately By Arthur Pearson This story is available in the Collection Welcome to the Monkey House and in its nearly identical predecessor Canary in a Cathouse. A very good story indeed: a parable about the social downside of immortality. The quintessential Vonnegut story.

Always a Good Read By William Hoffknecht Yeah, so as a Vonnegut collector I am a little miffed at this release being that this story is available in other printings and collections, so this little "book" is rather pointless, but at least it was only a couple of bucks and gives me a reason to continue buying Kurt Vonnegut material, so in the end I cannot not complain too much.As for the story though, this is a wonderful and strangely sad tale about the state of human affairs if death was basically eliminated from the equation. Not only are family members growing to despise you, but your station in life is nothing more than being a crotchety old person. This is well worth the couple of books for a nice read from one of the American masters in short fiction, it is a good sample, but just get "Welcome to the Monkey House" or "Canary in the Cathouse" and you will get more fun and thoughtful selections.

Montgomery While this is a quality Vonnegut short story, it is simply a very short story to be in its own book. It's 23 pages total and only 18 of that is the story. This story can also be found in the collection 2BR02B by the same publisher for about the same price and you will get several more stories. But this publisher is apparently taking advantage of Vonnegut works that have lost their copyright. It appears to be an opportunistic publication. Low quality. Not recommended.
