About the Author GLYNN JAMES, born in Wellingborough, England, in 1972, is an author of science fiction, post-apocalyptic, dark fantasy, horror, and dystopian fiction. His love of science fiction and horror began when he was eight years old after discovering HP Lovecraft and Richard Matheson, and then later on James Herbert, Clive Barker, and Stephen King. In addition to co-authoring the ARISEN books - a zombie apocalypse series that has sold over 175,000 copies - he is the author of the dark sci-fi series "DIARY OF THE DISPLACED". Not Really Worth the Read By Pat Gallagher These stories won't make much sense if you haven't read the Diary of the Displaced series, and if you have, I don't think they add much. I did like "At Last Goodbye," but the others were just brief glimpses into not much.Also, and I don't know if this is a Kindle problem, but it suffers from a very severe lack of editing. Many, many typos, grammatical errors, and (what I've found in a lot of post-apocalyptic novels) a real problem with homonyms. Still, a short read with some background to some of the characters.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. great addition to "Diary of the Displaced" By michael I really enjoyed this compilation of short stories but I definitely recommend reading it after reading the Diary of the Displaced (omnibus or all 3 individual books) since it makes references to many of the characters you meet. Part of what I enjoyed is that the references to the characters isn't smacking you in the face, if you pay attention you'll pick up on who's who. It was very short - finished it in one brief sitting but, that being said, it made me want to read more of Glynn James' work.If you liked "Diary of the Displaced" you'll like this.

Kind of like watching a movie trailer By Kindle Customer RWM I keep reading reviews that suggests getting The Displaced series to fully understand these stories. Maybe someday. I got this free. What I read had me totally confused as if I missed the first half of the story. The prose is fascinating, the material isn't my cup of tea, but I may satisfy my curiosity and red the series.
