These days, a trip to the grocery store requires a little soul-searching and a lot of label reading: organic, sustainable, local, seasonal, low-carb, low-cal, gluten-free, sugar-free, GMO-free, vegan, vegetarian, raw, and Paleo. Eating healthy nowadays really just means eating clean, or choosing whole foods sourced from the earth with the least processing and fewest possible ingredients that sound like hair dye. 16 of 19 people found the following review helpful. Don't bother, this book is not worth it. By Rosemary Sending it back. Basically it says to eat organic whole foods. There are no nutrition facts at all. - really!I guess I expected a lot more recipes. They have 30 little categories with three recipes in each one. So three for proteins- beef, three for proteins- chicken, three proteins- salmon. Then it moves on to grains so you get three for grains-cereal, then three grains- granola , etc. I don't think I need recipes for carbonated beverages & iced tea.

21 of 24 people found the following review helpful. Reputable info, but incomplete By Midwest librarian Info is good basic instruction for starting a clean eating regimen, but there is no excuse for a major publisher like Prevention to put out a book full of recipes with NO nutritional listings.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Fun and Informative By Michelle King This is a fantastic book for those new to or just discovering ‘Clean Eating”. The focus in this book is on healthy choices, such as eating organic and local whenever possible, and avoiding processed foods. It simplifies choices by breaking things down by “Not Clean,” “Clean” and “Cleanest.” The recipes are very, very good and easy to prepare. All in all, a simple method for changing the way you eat without having to count calories, points or fat grams.
