However, the typos, ungrammtical language, and repetition of statements made this booklet difficult to read and impossible to take seriously. If you are trying to impress someone, and talked like she writes, you would fail miserably. Reads like it was translated by someone who isn't native in either language.It's only 99 cents, but you hardly get your money's worth even at that price. Buy Karen MacNeil's Wine Bible for $15, invest a week perusing that and come out a thousand times more knowledgable about wine.

David I want to have a general understanding and palate for wine, I am a novice when it comes to wine and I do not want my lack of knowledge prevent me from enjoying it. As someone who loves food and dining, learning about wines today, I believe, can help me in a lot of ways in the future. This book gave the varieties of grape that a certain wine is made of, what does the color of wine indicates and what specific country produces it. I find the wine-food pairing tips and which right glass to use for each type of wine, very helpful. I think the information provided here can be useful in many different situations like when you go out on your first date, when you are in a fine-dining restaurant, when you visit wine-producing countries, when hosting a dinner and many more. This book is perfect for beginners, you will truly learn a lot about wines in this book as much as I did.

By David Wiseman This e-book had very interesting and comprehensive information with details about characteristics of taste, climate, cultivation, color, and food pairing. The food pairing information is quite useful to any one who entertains.I loved the tips on how to communicate and work with the wine steward in a restaurant and how to send him a subtitle message about price! (So that's how it's done!)There's tips on serving temps, style /shape of glass to use (thank you so much!!!) and much more info. The only thing I didn't see mentioned, was "legs." (And that's the only thing I knew about wine!)All-in-all, this was a handy, useful guide that you can glance at when needed, so you can be a master when entertaining, and knowledgeable when dining out. A great e-book!
