0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Crocking revisited By Lisa Scolnick I received a crockpot as a wedding gift 23 years ago (gotta love the peach colored crock and 80's design). My CP has mostly been used for apple sauce and cream of celery soup recipes with varied success. My family just didn't like them. This book has changed my thoughts on CPing. I purchased this book and was introduced to a whole new world of recipes and flavors. Outstanding! Foods I didn't realize could even be made in a CP. Putting the ingredients together the night before and having it cook while I'm at work has made a huge difference in my evening time with the family. I'm considering getting a larger one to have more left-overs for lunch. I still plan to keep the peach one, though.

From her, I learned an awesome chicken recipe that was extremely healthy and it quickly became one of my favorites. If her previous work is any indication of what is in this book, it is DEFINITELY worth picking up.

My crockpot is from the 1970's though so plan to try the cake again. Recipes are easy to follow and overall, I am happy with this book!
