The scenes are hot and turn you to mush. Really enjoy Lola Allen’s work and look forward to the interracial fantasy mix.

By John Darryl Winston It would be too obvious and somewhat cliché to proclaim romance author, Lola Allen’s novel as captivating, but as Occam’s Razor says, the simplest answer is often correct. Captive captures and holds the reader from the first word to the last. Allen achieves this by employing the seductive yet vulnerable point of view of Stacia Delaney. Allen comes right out of the gates in first place with a club scene that will make you want to find a more private place to finish this scorching must read. That’s right, it’s erotica, erotic romance to be exact and done beautifully to near perfection. Allen sets the tone with the “mesmerizing sound of Donna Summer’s breathy voice” and for my part, all I could hear was the 1975 sizzling song, Love To Love You Baby.There’s no way to tell much more about this story and not give it all away as the title somewhat does, but it’s not the secret of the story that captures you, but the mysterious, unknown ride that Allen sets in motion for Stacia Delaney and the unsuspecting reader. Recommended with a cool glass of water and a short period of solitude.

Shaw Captive was absolutely captivating!Absolutely engaging in a way that will have you hooked from start to finish. With fantastic writing that is descriptive and seductive you won't be able to put this down until you've gotten to the very end. Lola Allen has definitely produced a great short story perfect for an evening read while soaking in the tub.The mixture of danger and erotica made everything more intense and it almost makes me wish I could swap places with Stacia. Absolutely loved it!, you will too! 5 Hot Stars!
