Good story for younger children By Liberty Bluebelle This is a good little story for younger readers--they will enjoy (as I did) the dilemma of how to give Mama a special gift for Christmas. They will wonder, too, for a few pages, why Mama is in such need of something special this year. Noelle's innocence of understanding was a good touch by the author to show the readers she is just a child. I would have liked to feel the story a little more--feel the frost in the air, smell the almost-bad-but-almost good animal smell in the barn, maybe drink some cider--but for younger readers these missing details wouldn't dampen the sweetness of the story. No Scripture (that I can remember) was included in the story itself, which surprised me after I read the author's other stories, but there was a good verse after the note from the author. :) Read this story, and take a look at the others by this author!Note: I received a copy for review,This review is my opinion trueGood or bad was my own choice--I enjoy this author's voice!
