About the Author Vanessa Barajas is the self-taught dessertavore behind the blog Clean Eating with a Dirty Mind. She is a San Diego native who loves food passionately. She’s been known to drink almond milk straight from the carton and expensive wine out of plastic cups. She started the Paleo diet as part of a thirty-day challenge in 2012 and never looked back. Her recipes are amazing and taste SO GOOD. I'm a pastry chef and LOVE dessert, once i started the Paleo diet, i missed cookies and ice cream so badly. I was iffy about trying out paleo desserts, becuase what could be better than a real cookie...? Turns out her Soft Batch Chocolate Chip cookies are BETTER than a "real" cookie. I can't wait to make more from this book!!! I'd give this 10 stars if i could!!!!!

By Cman While the recipes sound great and the photos make the finished product look delicious, I was disappointed that many, for me it was most of the recipes, contained ingredients I don't eat. I should have questioned the "Paleo Inspired Recipes" on the cover. I eat clean and follow a paleo diet. Many recipes contain cream, whole milk, refined sugar, butter, etc. There are some that will work for me and others that I will modify to make them work!

In that time she would bring in delicious paleo treats almost daily, preparing for the release of this book. I know, I know, I am a lucky girl! Everything was truly delicious, my particular favorites are the Thumbprint cookies and the S'mores Pie.They are seriously just perfect! You may think I am biased, because I work with Vanessa, but really the treats are just that GOOD! So happy to be able to finally make them myself.Vanessa's writing is fun and easy to read. I found myself smiling during parts of her book and not wanting to put it down. You have to buy this one. You won't be disappointed.
